Daybook - 05.07.12

Here is my latest Daybook (somehow, Daybooks remind me of Star Trek's Starbook)

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, MAY 6TH

Outside my window...overcast, 68°, supposed to rain today and then cool off.

I am thinking...of my next blog post.

I am thankful... for the times God has revealed His word to me.

In the kitchen...homemade pizza

I am wearing...khakis and a lime green top

I am creating...a bible study based on Psalm 11

I am reading..."The Help" by Kathryn Stockett.  Actually, I'm starting it today.

I am hoping...for unity in some decisions that both my churches are facing.

I am looking forward to...Saturday. It's time for a road trip!  Or at least a date night.

I am learning...more about faith.

Around the house...some geraniums to plant, and some music sheets to file away.

I am pondering...Psalm 11

A favorite quote for today..."Faith trusts God because of what happened Yesterday.  Go back in the past and rejoice for all He has done for you.  Then you can have faith for today!"  Rev. Terry Eaves

One of my favorite things... when you feel the presence of God in church services!  There is nothing like it!

A few plans for the rest of the week: teaching the bible lesson Wednesday, possible special board meeting, finding my capris and getting my jackets and sweaters packed away ... (I may or may not have mentioned this before.  I keep putting it off!)

A peek into my day...

Do, do, do - looking out my back door!

The Daybook is a concept created by Peggy Hostetler.  You can link up at her blog, The Simple Woman's Daybook.

  1. I love your quote! It's such a sad reality that we often forget to count our blessings; especially when we are faced with similar trials. I believe that is why it is SO important to keep a steadfast life of prayer, so that the Holy Spirit can bring those blessings up in remembrance

  2. A service where you really feel the presence of the Lord keeps you on a HIGH for days! It really helps you battle the world inwhich we live! AWESOME! Psalm 11 is a great study. Hope you enjoy it. Love the picture "lookin' out your back door"! That was great by the way.

  4. Jerralea -- Love your blog! I see that you must be a sister Southern Baptist with the mention of GA's.... the verses I memorized (waaaaay back when!) still come to mind to encourage, instruct, and all-around bless me!

Your tribute to the godly women in your life is a real good idea. I haven't decided what I'll post for Mother's Day yet, but I may take a cue from you! Blessings!
