Today, I'm linking up at Gypsy Mama's blog for 5 Minute Friday, who says:
On Fridays around these parts we stop, drop, and write.
For fun, for love of the sound of words, for play, for delight, for joy and celebration at the art of communication.
For only five short, bold, beautiful minutes. Unscripted and unedited. We just write without worrying if it’s just right or not.
Won’t you join us?
Today's word is "vivid."
When I think of the word vivid, I think of colorful and bright.
Maybe even neon.
If I could be a vivid color, I think I would be a neon fuchsia. I would want to be feminine, so definitely something in the pink family. I would also want to be noticeable because who ever heard of a vivid color that did not stand out?
And my hubby's favorite color is fuchsia!
Of course, we can't be colors. I do think, though, a close humanly definition of vivid would be enthusiastic. So, if I can't be vivid, I can definitely be enthusiastic.
I want to find the joy in everything and be excited about it all!
I can't stand dullness or apathy.
So, yes, I will be vividly enthusiastic! (I think I am on my way. After all, look how many exclamation points I use in my writing!)
Wow, this was a much more difficult exercise in writing than I thought it would be. I'm afraid my perfectionist tendencies kept me from really writing without editing. I'm going to have to have a timer handy for next week.
I think the exclamation marks where enthusiastically needed to express the vivid neon pink person you are describing!!!! Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I do think you are neon fuschia!!! I to LOVE exclamation points!!! Happy Five Minute Friday!
ReplyDelete"vividly enthusiastic" - I love that. If I can't be pink, then I want to be that too.

ReplyDeleteI pray that you are able to just relax, release thoughts of perfectionism and allow words to flow ---
then His words come
well done!
