The Simple Woman's Daybook - March 15, 2011

FOR TODAY, TUESDAY, MARCH 15

Outside my window...rainy dreariness ...
I am thinking...of my sister-in-love, Cora.  Today is her birthday!
I am thankful for...the many years of friendship and good memories between us.
From the kitchen... I must admit I've lost the will to cook ... hope inspiration finds me today!
I am wearing...my new turquoise and black print shirt and black pants and cami.  I found the shirt on the clearance rack at Penny's which always excites me ... I love a bargain!
I am creating... my first blog post in awhile.  I have been feeling so sick with an upper respiratory infection that I have not felt like doing anything.
I am going...to enjoy my night home tonight after work. I've got things to do every other evening of the week.
I am reading...a new-to-me mystery author, P. L. Gaus, "Blood of the Prodical."  So far, it seems pretty interesting.
I am hoping...to receive an answer to prayer soon.
I am hearing...in my head this new song I've been playing in my car:  "God Doesn't Think Like Me" by the McKameys.  It's awesome!
Around the house...a lot of freshening up for spring needs to be done, but I've had no energy ... Hopefully soon!
One of my favorite things... comments from my readers! [I know ... that's a shameless plug for you to comment!]
A few plans for the rest of the week: getting ready for a board meeting, a haircut and some more blogging.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

I'm feeling the need for a road trip soon!

  4. Hi Jerri! Hope this post means you are feeling bettah!

Is that a current photo? If I wasn't going to Zambia, I'd be getting in the car and driving down to see you - so I could escape this infernal snow!
