Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful week. Now that it is Friday, let's look back and find 5 highlights of our week, shall we?
2. The Perfect Toasted Cheese (or Grilled Cheese, as some folks call them): Toasted Cheese will always be one of my favorite sandwiches. When I can't think of anything else to have for a quick lunch, I'll whip out the skillet and make one. We like to have them with a bowl of Cream of Tomato soup. Toasted Cheeses are what I lived on during my pregnancies. When I couldn't stomach eating anything, I could always scarf down one of these beauties:
3. A scripture that I am currently dwelling on:
“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom." Luke 12:31 HCSB (emphasis mine)
Really, what do we have to be afraid of if we truly believe it makes Him happy to bless us?
4. A quote that challenges me:
Really, what do we have to be afraid of if we truly believe it makes Him happy to bless us?
4. A quote that challenges me:
"Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps if you are not willing to move your feet." [Anonymous, seen in an email]
5. Irish Breakfast Tea - my new favorite morning beverage.
I hope you had a wonderful week. Why don't you link up at Susanne's and tell us all about it? You can find Mr. Linky at Living to Tell the Story.
Ooh, grilled cheese and cream of tomato soup! That's one of the comfort food combinations of my childhood. :)
ReplyDeleteThat quote is a good one, and I know someone who'd like the reminder right about now. Thanks!
We like tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches as well. Just had that for dinner Wednesday! I always feel like I am taking a shortcut if I make it for dinner, but the family says they love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat Scripture and quote!
Good capture on the squirrel!
ReplyDeleteWhat else would anyone eat with a Grilled Cheese sandwich than Tomatoe soup?!! (Well, my mom always served them with Hot chocolate, as well as the soup). Try them dipped in hot chocoloate - amazing! You were able to eat these during your pregnancies? I'll have to tell Kathryn.
Oh, if only we could grasp how much our Father loves us and delights in blessing us. Thanks for the reminder.
Oh that quote is killing me :o)
ReplyDeleteSo darn true. Good for you for spotting the squirrel and being ready to shoot! Grilled cheese and tomato soup is the favorite camp meal of all time. hmmm maybe I'll make that for dinner tomorrow night!
Have a great weekend!
I say, "Mmmm" to grilled cheese sandwiches!
ReplyDeleteLove your #3.
Have a great week!
Yes, I forget growing up what night was our grilled cheese, toasted cheese and tomato soup night, lol.
ReplyDeleteGlad you pointed out the squirrel as I wouldn't' have know.
Thanks for the quote
Great photo of the squirrel. Wasn't it nice of him to pose for you? :)
ReplyDeleteLoved your Bible verse and quote.
Have a great weekend!
That picture is awesome!! :) I got a picture of a dragonfly on a leaf once with my camera phone. I was stoked!
ReplyDeleteI never really liked grilled cheese. :-/ My hubby loves it! I've never had cream of tomato soup either!!
I got a new camera this summer but I’m still practicing too. Too many settings! Ha. You did great to capture the squirrel. Your “Grilled Cheese” (in my neck of the woods) looks JUST right. Love that version of Luke 12:31. I’m reading through the OT this year in the HCSB and I’m enjoying it so far.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great weekend.
All wonderful things to be blessed and thankful for. I hope you have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteI really like your Friday Five. The squirel pic is really good. Glad to have met you and hope you have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteUgh! I would die for a toasted cheese sandwich! AND tomato soup!
ReplyDeleteWe have that little flock scripture painted on the wall at our Little Lambs pre-school. There's a song that goes with it too...
Have no fear, little flock
Have no fear, little flock
For the Father has chosen
to give you the Kingdom
Have no fear, little flock
There's 3 more verses. It's in our Lutheran Service Book. It's really cute to hear the 3 and 4 year olds sing it!
