Tea Talk - Thursday, December 30

1. I'm having...my favorite morning beverage, hot tea.

This teacup belongs to a set that belonged to my mother-in-law.  It only says Japan on the bottom of it, so I don't know the name of the pattern.  To me, it makes me think of the Emerald City in the movie "The Wizard of Oz."  I love the castle that is printed inside the cup. I don't know when she got this set of dishes, but what remains is a platter, serving bowl, one dinner plate, 5 teacups, 6 saucers, and 6 dessert plates.  I can mix in my white Corelle, though, and it looks good!

2. I'm feeling.... blessed
3. On my mind.... lately I've been wondering why I'm surprised when God is so good to me! He loves me and shows me His favor!  I give Him all the glory.
4. This quotation encourages me because I feel strongly that home should be our haven, our refuge, the place where we love to be most:

"Home is the comfiest place to be." [Winnie the Pooh]

  1. I love your tea cup! and I bet your home IS a comfy place. I still get surprised when God is so good to me too. I guess I think his goodness has something to do with me and that is why I am surprised...I know there is nothing good in me. But when we remember his goodness to us is because HE is so good, then we shouldn't be surprised, just expectant.

Thanks for having tea with me today.

Yes, God is good all the time, and no matter how we know that truth we are often caught surprised of how good He is.

Happy New Year, Jerralea. Thank you for sharing tea time with me and the rest of the ladies @ Tea Talk.
