The Simple Woman's Daybook - October 25, 2010

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2010

Outside my window ... dawn breaking on a warm fall morning.  The weather is just weird anymore!
I am thinking ... how quickly time passes ... life just flies by!
I am thankful for ... the ability to breathe.  Think about any time you have a sinus infection and can't breathe.  How much a struggle it is when something impedes your airway.  It makes you appreciate when you can breathe and not think anything about it. I'm especially thankful for when I can breathe in fresh air and smell wonderful fragrances.
From the kitchen...meatloaf, mashed potatoes and baby peas.
I am wearing ...brown pants, brown wedges, and purple top.
I am going ... to trust that everything will work out.
I am reading... once again, "Anne of the Island," by L. M. Montgomery.  Classic!  I have always wanted to BE Anne!
I am hoping...that everything connected to my daughter's upcoming wedding goes off smoothly.
I am hearing...the tick-tock of my little clock on my desk, occasional passers-by on the road next to my house.
Around the house...I need to tackle some dusting ... Why is it that I hate to do that?
One of my favorite things...my Sunday afternoon nap!
A few plans for the rest of the week ... Women's Ministries meeting Tuesday and posting a new Words to Stand On sometime this week.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing:

God's handiwork.

  2. Lovely Photo, Lovely Post.
As for daughters wedding I told mine the day they wed, whatever wasn't planned is more a memory, you can't control everything.

  3. Your picture is beautiful. I agree with you on being thankful for the ability to breathe without thinking about it. I'm just getting over a head/chest cold.:) Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

  4. When IS your daughter's wedding? I know it will all work out fine! So much WORRYING goes into them - but they always come out beautiful! I will help you pray though! :)

Oh boy! A new Words to Stand On!

I hate dusting too - but Pastor told us Sunday that dust, iron, and cook are all 4 letter words - so it's okay not to like 'em!
