M is for Mercy

My love for Mercy is only equal to my love for grace.  How I need both of them in my life!

Because I mess up.  A lot.  How about you?

God's Word teaches us that He serves up fresh mercy every morning.  I cannot conceive of a greater blessing than that.

He's not only the God of a second chance but of a thousand chances... IF you are sincerely repentant. He knows the thoughts of your heart.  You can't fool Him.

An honest person who truly regrets the error of his ways, and wants to change,  can always find mercy at the foot of the cross. Always.

And that makes mercy a word worth dwelling on, in my opinion.

  1. I think we all make mistakes...but do we forgive ourselves? Probably not! This is a good reminder that He has mercy for us, and we should have that mercy for ourselves.

  2. A fellow messer-upper here. I'm thankful for mercy as well. And to think that His mercy never ends. Great post, Jerralea!

  3. I am so thankful God is a God of a thousand second changes and his mercy is so kind and compassionate and never ending. Now knowing how his mercy is, you would think I would be merciful around others......I'm still a work in progress :)
