However, I decided to go a different route and chose the word "first."
Remember, my goal is to list 26 words that are worthy to dwell on in your thoughts. Words that describe something true, lovely, pure and praiseworthy.
Why "first?"
I believe that the topic of most people's thoughts are of themselves. What shall I do? What will make my life easier? How will I get the things I want?
Have you ever been in a conversation with someone who is only concerned with themselves? "I did this." "I did that." I, I, I.
So instead of dwelling upon all your thoughts and fears of not having enough, first dwell on the goodness of God and the gifts He has given you in the past. If you put Him first, you can be sure He will meet your need just like He has done in times past.

I try to think of God's kingdom first as the scripture in Matthew says, but I have struggles when life comes along with one of its many curve balls it likes to throw my way, but I do try to remember God will provide, like he provided for the sparrow, and try to get my priorities realigned.

Thanks for that reminder. I certainly drift into a chuck-centric world far too often.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny some people always want to be first don't know if it was my Christian upbringing or not wanting attention. The first will be last afterall
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogging. Hope your day with your daughter is glorious.
