Good
Shepherd
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. John 10:10-11KJV
Abba,
This
is one of my favorite passages of scripture. John10:10 tells what the Good
Shepherd does – give us abundant life; and John 10:11 describes why the Good
Shepherd came – to give His life for us.
When
we get those two things in our hearts and minds, we must realize the Good
Shepherd has only the best motives for us. When life is hard, and we feel like
You are not moving, we need to remember Your goodness.
Your
plans and purposes for us will not fail! You will not let us miss our own
future. We will end up right where You want us to be.
We
rest in that fact. We love, honor and adore You. There is no one like YOU!
In
Jesus’ name, so be it, amen.
Welcome to Day 5 of Praise Posts 2025, a tradition that has been featured on the Journey every November since 2014.
This year’s praise posts are 10 days of prayers based on 10 of the Names and Attributes of God. There will be links below to each Praise Post.
Day 3
Also, you can view the Praise Posts 2024 posts here.
Thanks for dropping by the Journey! I want to always share my post, A Ticket Home, for those who might not know the way Home.
I'm also excited to share that I'm part of an upcoming book collaboration about Advent.
