Day 11: Be Encouraged - Your God is Enough

If you have become a new creation in Christ (meaning by grace you've accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and have turned from your old life), there are many great and precious promises in the Word available to you!  As we examine ways to encourage ourselves, let's take a look at the characteristics of God.

Yesterday, we talked about how He sees the need and will provide just the right thing needed at the time.

Today, we are going to talk about why He can do that.

Because one of His names is El Shaddai.

The name Shaddai was used when God told Abram He would make him "father of many nations," changing Abram's name to Abraham.  Abraham was also promised a son from Sarai, his barren older wife who was past the age of child-bearing. Not only does the name Shaddai mean sufficient, it also carries with it the idea that God has the power to fulfill His promises.  He has what it takes to get the job done.

El Shaddai - The All-Sufficient One.

Be encouraged - Your God is Enough.  Whatever the need, whatever the situation, He is enough.

The God of More Than Enough.
