Day 4 - Prayer of Agreement

Just joining us? You can start with the beginning of my serial on Day 1. Click here.

Psalm 56:8 CEV

Kai clicked off the last video as Simon came back into the room.

"Have you reviewed all the materials?"

Kai sighed as he nodded his head. "I hate hearing stories of abuse. It breaks my heart."

Simon pointed out, "Imagine how the Creator feels watching one of His babies go through it!"

Leaning forward, Simon said, "There's another reason why the Creator wants so badly to get Morgan back on the path."

Kai looked at him inquiringly.

Simon continued, "You know Sister Rose? The little petite lady with the auburn hair that gets so carried away in worship she sometimes whoops and hollers, 'Thank ya, Jesus, you're better felt than telt'?

"Who could forget Sister Rose?" Kai said with a grin.

"Well, Rose is Morgan's grandma. Rose made the journey Home when Morgan was 8. But before she left Earth, you better believe she sent up a boat-load of prayers for Morgan!"

"If Rose had any inkling of what Morgan was going through, I'm sure she prayed and cried constantly," Kai mused thoughtfully.

Simon spoke emphatically, "Rose didn't just pray for Morgan's safety. Nope, our Sister Rose is a bold one. She has prayed for the Lord to redeem her family - every one of them - and to raise up a voice to touch others for Jesus in every generation, starting with Morgan!"

"Not only that, but she got Sister Clara, the preacher's wife that lived just a mile down the road from Rose, to stand in agreement with that prayer. You know what that means!"

Together, Simon and Kai quoted Matthew 18:19:
"... if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven."
Kai looked at Simon and said, "So ... what is the plan?"

Thanks for joining us today! You will learn more about Simon tomorrow, as well as the plan for Kai, in my serial, Angel on Assignment:  The Book of Morgan.

This serial is not intended to be doctrine. Scripture does tell us angels come to warn, bring messages and sometimes watch over us. It also tells us we could possibly unknowingly entertain an angel. My serial is just me imagining how that might look in our present day and time.

Join me tomorrow for more of the story. Each day, you can go here to see all the links for each installment of the series as they go live.

Tomorrow's offering:  The Plan.

So, what do YOU think. Have you ever prayed the prayer of agreement with someone? How did it work out?

This post was written as part of the Write 31 Days challenge. A whole group of writers will be writing for 31 days straight on a variety of topics. Click here to check it out.

  1. Glad I found this in Debbie's link up. Of course, I had to start at day 1. A great way to highlight God's Word. There is so much power in story, fiction and non-fiction. Love Matthew 18:19 passage.
