Daybook - 03.12.12

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, MARCH 12

Outside my window... rainy dreary day.  It's warm though, and the rest of the week it's supposed to be in mid seventies.

I am thinking... so many thoughts that I can't begin to express them!

I am thankful... to have had the privilege of learning about Jesus. So many have not heard about Him.

In the kitchen...chicken in the crock pot to be turned into homemade chicken pot pie. We'll have salad and finish up the rest of the strawberries from last week.

I am wearing...grey slacks, cardi and short boots with a peach-colored top.  If this warmer weather keeps up, I'll have to pack away the boots, get a pedicure and start wearing sandals!

I am creating...a bible lesson on Psalm 9.

I am going...to remain joyful. It's a decision.

I am wondering...what God has in store for me this year.

I am looking forward to...date night the end of the month.  We are going to go hear Ivan Parker.

A favorite quote for today ...
" Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone but in every leaf of springtime."
Martin Luther

One of my favorite things... flowering trees - one of the first signs of Spring.

A few plans for the rest of the week: board meeting Tuesday, presenting my bible lesson on Wednesday, getting my hair done the later part of the week - whew! I'm tired thinking about it.

A peek into my day...

Eleven months ago, my phlox in our yard looked like this.

Since the flood, it doesn't look like it will ever look as good again.  I'm waiting to see ... will the Lord resurrect this plant this year?

  3. I love that Martin Luther quote! I am teaching Martin Luther in World History next week. I may have to see how I can integrate that into a lesson plan with Spring.
